I bought this watch at Kohls as a special for $40. It is very nice especially with the skeleton front as well as the rear. I sometimes stare at the gear moving on the face of the watch. This is also a very big watch. If you don't like how G-shocks feel than imagine it about the same size but slightly heavier. Also the band on this watch initially felt horrible, but over time you can easily appreciate it. It keeps great time, but if I take it off for more than two hours I have to set it again, so once you set it you pretty much can't take it off.

For the price that you pay for this watch you get an excellent package. For a cheap Chinese automatic watch it only loses around 10-20 seconds a day. It also "slips" to prevent overwinding. The oscillating weight that automatically winds is not extremely sensitive as in high end automatics, but falls somewhere below that in sensitivity. Holding a "dead" watch in your hands for a moment and observing it is enough to start it up again. The luminescent digits and hands are not very bright but are still visible when completely dark. Along the same lines the lettering and dial itself is very neatly presented without any visible flaws in my particular model.

However this watch does have some flaws

1)Being that the case is not a sapphire it scratches very easily. Any slight rub against a rough object will scratch it.

2)The band is amazingly large, even when adjusted it may take some trimming to have the rubber band fit in correctly. I replaced it with a black leather band to avoid the trouble. The size band is 24mm

I bought this watch and it is one of the nicer looking Armitron's. It is available with an all stainless band too.

I think the rubber band looks better than the stainless band, more like a sporty dive watch, yet the skeleton face dresses it up.

The face reminds me of the much more expensive Russian Invicta Diving watches I have always admired the look of, but with a much cheaper price and more wearable size.

The watch is not huge on the wrist (large but not huge), I have small wrists and it looks great. I get complements on this watch all the time.

You can manually wind the watch if you want. Waterproof to 165 feet. This is not a cheap looking watch even if it doesn't cost that much.

I'm going to review the watch and the strap separately because the strap does this watch no justice.

Watch:
Wow! I love this watch, and it is still working perfectly after three years. The glow in the dark hands really help with late night viewing. I'm very active so it keeps great time, once in a while it will get a little fast if I exercised while I had it on. Despite my active lifestyle the front hasn't scratched yet, which I can say about NONE of my other watches (I've had many). I think the other reviews happened to get a bad watch. This watch is atheistically pleasing and is very quiet. The ticking is barely audible late at night in a quiet room, which means if you wear it to bed it shouldn't keep you awake.

Strap:
Wow, this thing didn't even hold up for a year. The strap was shredded and falling to bits within six months. The metal pieces were all great, but the rubber tore up really fast. Before long it was being held together with tape, and soon it became a pocket watch. I may get a new strap, or I may leave it as a pocket watch.

Overall, I love the watch. If you can, get a metal strap! If not just prepare to have a pocket watch (if you are active.)

Well you get what you pay for. The craftsmanship on this time piece is so lousy that only after wearing it for 0 hours, 0 minutes and 0 seconds there were screws that had fallen out of place and were rattling around inside the watch. Sure the design is interesting but it may as well be a bracelet if the internal mechanism is going to self destruct before you can even put it on. Do not buy this product, nor any product by this manufacturer.

got this for me nephew (16) and it blew him away. It makes a cool gift. It seem to be built well, Plus Its cheap. whats not to like.

i tot Armitron are production in America, after purchase only found it is China movement.(please see the rear view of the watches).
