This is another great volume from the Masterclass series of judo books.This one is written by Neil Adams,one of Europe's all-time great judokas.A world champion(1981),Adams also took the silver medal in both the 1980 and 1984 Olympics.Known throughout the world for his ground techniques and armlocks I can't think of anyone better qualified to write this book.There's a brief history of armlocks in grappling. And though the book concentrates on the juji gatame and it's different variations,there are chapters on the ude gatame,ude garami(a.k.a the kimura),waki gatame and others.There's even a chapter on using armlocks in self-defense situations.A really great book and one I recommend to all judo practioners.
