4.0 out of 5 stars Another spinoff of starship troopers, but a fairly good one
Aromorines is a good game and has alot of elements that are taken from the movie starship troopers. It has fairly good graphics and gameplay, .... The game is about these elite millitary men who have special suits and a bunch of kick ... laser guns that will fry any bug that comes your way. The game takes place on a nearly overun planet earth where a bunch of bugs...

2.0 out of 5 stars Awkward control
I managed to play this game for about 2 hours before giving up in frustration and returning it. The reason? Trying to move and shoot with any of the 4 preset control configurations gave me headaches! Unfortunately, the game doesn't give you the ability to generate a custom re-mapping of the controller.

If the game itself were more impressive, I might have considered...

I managed to play this game for about 2 hours before giving up in frustration and returning it. The reason? Trying to move and shoot with any of the 4 preset control configurations gave me headaches! Unfortunately, the game doesn't give you the ability to generate a custom re-mapping of the controller.

If the game itself were more impressive, I might have considered toughing it out with the least offensive of the control options. There are no cut-scenes; not even the customary introductory sequence upon starting a new game. Instead, you get lines of text read to you by the commander. Weapon selection is strictly sequential. If the one you need is 5th in line, be prepared for a lot a frantic button pushing while the bugs come after you. Weapons-firing animations are weak; your "standard" beam weapon fires an anemic blue line that's barely visible against the background.

Finally, there's no sense that you're in a suit of powered armor. Where's my jump capability? If weapons just "sprout" out of my right arm, why don't I have any on the left? My overall impression of the game is that it's a hastily put-together 1st-person shooter with a generic (and trite) story tacked on to give it some continuity. I gave it two stars instead of one because I didn't get very far in the game and those of you who can wrestle the controls into submission may find more redeeming features in later missions.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst Game I have played, EVER, October 27, 2004
This review is from: Armorines Project SWARM (Video Game)
I am a veteran video game player, I have played video games my entire life. I can honestly say, that this is the WORST game I have ever, EVER played. It sucked so bad, from the horrible graphics to the crappy controls, avoid this thing as if it had sars, mad cow and the west nile virus.

Who would want to play this thing? I'm going to say this bluntly: this is the worst game I have ever played. Why? Well, you asked so you'll get it: horrid graphics, terrible control, asinine story, excruciating music...I don't need to go on. Avoid this. Please.
