An Army of Ordinary People,
This review is from: An Army of Ordinary People (Paperback)
This is a must read book for those who wonder what God is doing in America! This book captures the heart of what it means "to be the church" as opposed to "attending church!" Have you struggled with wanting more in your Christian experience and felt like something was lacking in your scheduled church meetings? I promise you that this book will ignite your heart with new passion and help you look outside the walls of a building and into the ripe harvest fields all around you. Following Jesus outside the walls of church buildings and church programs always proves to be exciting as revealed in the lives of "An Army of Ordinary People!" Be prepared to be changed in your mindsets about church as you read these truly inspiring stories. I have read many Christian books over the last 25 years but this is one that I have begun to hand out as gifts to anyone who is hungry for more!

There is indeed something new going on in this world, a revolution (Barna) of sorts that will shape the future of the church (Frost/Hirsch) and ordinary people are being called to the extraordinary. The true stories in this book will inspire you and help you feel like you too, can make a difference!

A "not to be missed" book! Excellent in presentation, each chapter reveals unique facets of what God is doing in our time, through regular people who love Jesus. The author's insightful questions and comments at the end of each section are helpful, encouraging, excellent food for thought.I am excited reading the book, am back to purchase extra copies to give to friends. Once you read it, you'll want to share the book with others.

Felicity Dale get's right to the heart of the matter in "An Army of Ordinary People." Similar to Luke, she interviews success stories of church planting in western culture. This move of the Spirit, (the fastest growing christianity today) is moving around the world and Felicity's accounts are fascinating, informative and will move you to get involved.

The Bible Society did some research in Australia last year that concluded that many Australians were saying "Jesus is cool, but the church is an insurmountable obstacle." All over the globe there is a move beyond traditional church attendance towards small informal groups of people who share life and seek God together. This book tells the stories of a number of them and sets out clear principles based on Luke 10. It is a breath of fresh air.

This book is an inspiring compilation of real people and the way that God used them to move in His kingdom. It is refreshing to read of those who are 'normal', yet willing to take small steps that result in big movements. This book is for anyone who longs to do big things for God, but doesn't feel capable or qualified.

I read a lot of books but few have been as encouraging as "An Army of Ordinary People" by Felicity Dale. One friend who I gave a copy of the book to went out and purchased 30 books to give to friends. I wish every believer would read this book. The real-life stories of ordinary people, filled with the Holy Spirit, will inspire you to do exploits for God. I hope this is only Volume 1 of many more books telling of God's power at work in His children.

We ARE God's army,
This review is from: An Army of Ordinary People (Paperback)
Felicity's compilation of stories reminds us that God uses "ordinary" folk to accomplish "extraordinary" things. Once again, all we need to do is be willing...
