Well, as far as I am concerned this works fine. Easy to install and works great. After several hours it still works great and the bulb has not burned out as others have claimed. Not sure why all the bad press about getting a new bulb. You can get them for a few dollars at M&D Mower in Oakwood Village, OH 44146. During the snow storms this year when you need to stay ahead of the snow the light is great at dark.

This kit came with my snow thrower. I connected it and the light did not work. I replaced the bulb as it came with 2 additional bulbs. It lit for like 5 seconds and never again. The buld is not easy to replace especially when it's cold outside. Don't wast your money. JUNK!

Not surprised when the light did not work at all. Bought it for the mount hardware. Added a different light, worked perfectly.

I bought this kit and my lasted about 15 seconds. When we started the snow thrower, the light went on then went dead. You cannot buy a replacement bulb for it.

I wasted money here!!!

Terrible product quality here folks. I wished I would have looked at reviews from other stores and blogs before I wasted my time and money on this light kit. The halogen bulb lasted about 1 minute before burning out. (and No I never touched it). Apparently tons of other people have had the same problem. Worse yet, its been going on for years and Arnold does nothing about it to improve it. They don't even offer a replacement bulb. Even further, I can't find a replacement bulb anywhere on the planet for this rediculous thing. My advice...wear the "miner's light" on your head. Its cheaper, better made and everybit as effective.

i was looking for this item for a while and couldnt find it anywhere but sears online, decidet to check amazon and luckily found one here, price is right, shipping was free, cant go wrong with that.
Light was delivered 2 days after i placed the order, that was fast.
Installed it on my snow thrower a few days later, workes like a charm.
I didnt like the fact that it was always on when running the machine, so i went to home depot bought a $4 toggle switch and installed that as well.
Now i turn on the light only when need be, love it. Recomend this item to any one looking to mod their machine.

Installed light, after having to purchase missing 10 MM bolt,($1.38) for clamp, and bulb immediately blew when started snowblower. Replaced the 15W bulb with a 55W bulb,($6.35), a Wagner BP 1255/H3 which is the same as the GE H3-55. Also the plastic packaging holding the light had a hole punched in it and something had been blacked out with a marker on the inside packaging. Not a confidence builder for something sold as new. Just got done doing the driveway and the light worked fine. I was worried abut overheating with the higher wattage bulb but that was not a problem.

Bought this light kit of of Amazon. I was a little worried with all the negative reviews that this product received. I am glad I bought it. I installed this kit as a supplement to my Troy-bilt center mounted useless factory light. When installing this, I check voltages against the provided specs and found that the factory alternator puts out 20 amps worth of juice, and that it ranges all the way up to 24 volts. Hooking this light up in addition to the original light I was well within the specs for the light, so it works flawlessly. I am really happy that it shipped with the updated bulb and included 2 extra bulbs in the kit! I was so impressed that I purchased a second light for my kids go-cart! Great light for cheap money!

This light is nice, it is well built and works really well except for the bulb. It is not the right one for the snowthrower. I did a lot of hunting and found that MTD, that makes Toro, Cub Cadet, Craftsman, and MTD has a updated bulb. I ordered it and installed it no more trouble.

This light seems to be made well but like the other reviews i've read, the bulb doesn't work. I hooked everything up turned on the snowblower and poof, the light burnt out. It lasted 2 minutes. I should also warn you that the bulb is intergrated into the lens. I'm currently looking for a replacement. I think at the price and lack of variety you should buy the light and just plan on replacing the bulb, immediately.
Found a replacement with GE-GEH3-55 bulb($5-10).
