Gr 6-8-This workmanlike biography recounts the basic facts of Schwarzenegger's life without much style or flair. There is some indication, gleaned primarily from quotes from the subject's own autobiography, that he is an individual with a huge ego and a touch of arrogance. But this is about as much insight as the book gives into the man's character. Bial mentions briefly that Schwarzenegger's father was a member of the Nazi party during World War II, without providing any additional comment or context or connecting this information with the actor's current charity work for Jewish causes. While an endnote acknowledges the author's sources, quotations within the text are not given specific citations. The book is illustrated with numerous black-and-white photographs, some of poor quality. Readers will be better served by Craig and Katherine Doherty's Arnold Schwarzenegger (Walker, 1993) or Robert Lipsyte's Arnold Schwarzenegger (HarperCollins, 1993).-Tim Wadham, Dallas Public Library,

this is a great book. it full of facts you need. if your looking for a bio here it is one of the best. it's not really missing any inportant things. and if your his #1 fan like me you will love this book.
