Good little book. Kind of like watching a cartoon episode.,

This review is from: Arnold's E-Files (Hey Arnold! Chapter Books) (Paperback)
This book is simple but well written. It would be no problem for a young reader. When reading it, the experience is kind of like watching an episode of the Hey Arnold! cartoon. It keeps true to the characters of the show while quickly progressing through its story. As an added bonus, this short story managed to surprise me at one point, which is difficult to do in writing, and I consider that a big point in its favor.Buyers looking for comics or lots of artwork may be disappointed since it only has a single black and white illustration for each chapter, though they are well done and clearly in the original show art style. There are no color pictures, aside from the cover. Though I certainly would have liked more illustrations, I felt the level of it was appropriate. While it is no in-depth study or novel of the Hey Arnold! universe, I believe it is an enjoyable read for most Hey Arnold! fans. Since there is no episode that resembles this in the series, I would recommend fans grab it for a quick read, since like I said, it is rather like watching an unaired cartoon episode of the show. |
