Rock and Roll Angels Bring Thyne Hard Rock Hallelujah!,
Lordi, the finnish monster rockers are the new Kiss, but more extreme. Playing melodic hard rock and heavy metal, they receantly took the world over by surprise by winning the 2006 Eurovision Pop Song Contest. Their newest CD: The Arockalypse, is Lordi at its finest, and is a true gem of metal. It kick starts with a news bulletin about invading monsters, then slams it's way into Bring Back The Balls To Rock with true power! The catchy Deadbite Girls Gone Wild is next, followed by the twisted Kids Who Wanna Play With The Dead. It Snows In Hell is a powerful Lordi ballad about murder and revenge beyond the grave with guest star Bruce Kulick (former Kiss guitarist), easily one of the best tracks on the album. "Witness my rebirth from the devil's churn!!" as sung by Mr. Lordi will stay in your mind for a long ime. Who's Your Daddy pounds it's way in, making way for the prize song winning Eurovision of rock and roll angels and demons:Hard Rock Hallelujah. Udo Dirkschneider joins with Mr. Lordi in a nightmarish duet singing in They Only Come Out At Night. The Chainsaw Buffet is a song Leatherface would play at his date. Good To Be Bad is a fan song for all the naughty Lordi girls, while Night of The Loving Dead is romance of the zombies. Supermonsters closes off the album with a powerful accord and chant. This is definately Lordi's best album! It's been a long time since any band has delivered such wonderful music all in monstermaniac style and fashion! If you love Kiss, horror movies, and classic heavy metal, buy this album. It's a must have!
Good Songs: Kids Who Wanna Play With The Dead, It Snows In Hell, Who's Your Daddy, Hard Rock Hallelujah, They Only Come Out At Night, The Chainsaw Buffet, Supermonstars.

Fabulous,
Look... I never heard of Lordi before the Eurovision Contest 2006. I thought they would obtain just a few votes, as the show is usually full of awful pop songs and miserable singers. But then, they made History. Not only they won, but they won with style. Their show was brilliant, the outfits, the music, the attitude and the pyro. And in the press-conference, Lordi was clever, his speech was interesting. Talking about a victory for Rock fans (he added 'Kiss fans' !) but more for open-mindness. No, Lordi will NOT change the face of Rock Music. Though the songs are perfectly crafted and full of strong melodies, the most important lies in the way they changed forever the attitude of millions of people (100 millions usually watch the Euro show) who never heard such music before. Kids all over Europe now will want to buy the Lordi Action Figures, CD's and maybe learn guitar or drums. Older will realise that Rock can be fun, that in show-buisness there's also the show. Like Elvis in his 1955 Ed Sullivan show, with his legendary 'Pelvis' dance that changed pop culture forever in a deep way, Saturday May 20th 2006, Lordi made a useful contribution for a more open, free and liberal world. I'm not kidding. Cultural History is made by these tiny changes. But for now, just buy the record, you won't regret it, it's nice, and these guys are not rich, your money will be appreciated ! Plus, enjoy the fact that we have such music to listen to, and not only the pre-formatted World Top 40.
Thank you guys...

Lordi: Striking Down The Prophets of False,
By

Winners of the May, 2006 Eurovision Song Contest in Athens, Lordi follows in the footsteps of Lulu, ABBA, and Celine Dion, to name a few. Lordi are five Finnish hard rockers in monster garb, lifting power chords from the likes of Foghat and Deep Purple while channeling KISS as re-imagined by Rick Baker. The whole effect is utterly charming .. or completely ridiculous, depending. The music isn't all that threatening; Lordi calls themselves "the most monstrous band ever" on their MySpace page, and that may be true on several levels. But they never cross the line completely, claiming "it's good to be bad." The Arockalypse is competently played head-banging fun, with head-scratching lyrics ("All we need is lightning/With power and might/Striking down the prophets of false") and head-case puns ("the day of Rockoning"). Like all guilty pleasures ... just go with it.

Thank's God .,
By Petar "Jstrok7" (Croatia) - See all my reviews All other songs are like non-hits on Deep Purple's 'Fireball' or Led Zeppelin's 'Presence' albums which means they are listenable with pleasure . It 'Snows In Hell' and 'Supermonstars' are hard songs which has guitar solos and they're almost good as 'hard rock hallelujah' which doesn't have too long and noticable guitar solo (In end of the song) but as I said first keep your eye on 'Good To Be Bad' and 'Chainsaw Buffet' , then go In deeper Lordi . (Yes they have many nice guitar solos which means that guitarist knows to play guitar very well and keyboards which are In hand of one lady are also very good played , ah rock 'n' roll is back , I hope I will see many rock 'n' roll bands next year on eurovision and them [Lordi] of course , I hope that they showed we need another Deep Purple , Led Zeppelin , Lynyrd Skynyrd , Pink Floyd , Whitesnake ... They showed we need to bring back balls to rock 'n' roll ) . Lordi keep up and soon you will become another perfect classic rock legend .

Lordi, the most revelation hard/metal band since 2000!!!,
Excellent play! Finnest musicians! Great songs and...production? I think Kiss will be able to came closer.
Lordi is a supergroup making a hard/heavy above the avarege in all senses. In this play the guests are nothing less than Dee Snider (Twisted Sister), Bruce Kullick (ex-Kiss) and Udo Dirkschneider (UDO, Accept). Fans of all styles and derivaties of metal will love The Arockalypse.

This product is a little bit silly, but good hard rock. It harkens back to days of AC/DC, Black Sabbath, and Meatloaf. The heavy guitars and scratchy voices add a lot of thrill to the overall sound for the band. This album is definetly worth having in your collection.
