Packing a one-two punch with both a wok for Asian cooking and a fondue set for Swiss cuisine, this set provides all that's needed for an outrageous international fusion dinner party. The nonstick interior surface of the wok heats up oil in a lightning-fast three minutes, and the wok has a low-to-high continuous temperature control, giving precise control over cooking. With a 6-1/2 quart capacity, you'll easily be able to feed a dinner party of four or more. The nonstick interior is just right for cooking veggies and meats with less oil, although you'll need to avoid metal cooking utensils that could scratch the surface. The wok can be used for a variety of cooking techniques, including stir-fry, sautéing, deep-frying, and steaming. All handles and the base are heat resistant, and once detached from the base, the wok is fully immersible--making cleanup a breeze.
The fondue pot, 6-1/2 inches in diameter with a 1-quart capacity, is crafted from the same anodized nonstick aluminum, both inside and out. Six fondue forks with plastic handles and aluminum stems are included, as well as a fondue fork rack that rests atop the pot. My husband and I use our wok a few times a month for stirfry. It heats up just great for us and makes enough for two AND enough leftovers for both of us to take to work for lunch the next day. We have had a great time experimenting with recipes - this is a great purchase. The fondue pot works great as well.

I have to agree with the first review. We actually made a fondue first and it worked so well that I could not wait to try a stir fry... What a disappointment: it does not eat enough and the food steams slowly, very slowly...

I was given one of these for Christmas. I thought, great! I can now use a wok that will actually be hot enough to cook in (I have an electric stove, not a gas one). But boy, was I wrong. This thing does not have the heat to make anything more than about 1 serving. Want to make fried rice? Go ahead and do it in a frying pan on the stove. That will be twice as hot. The fondue pot works well however. But get serious. How often will you actually use a fondue pot? Although, now that I'm thinking about it, I might make some chocolate fondue tonight....
