5.0 out of 5 stars This is a Bargin
I had a Zojirushi NHS-10 and worked fine. I gave it to my sister-in-law...grin.

Latter I decided I wanted another cooker and just came upon this. It seemed to cheap. I ordered it from Amazon. This thing is a DEAL. We usually cook between 4-6 cups of rice at a time. It makes perfect rice, if you use the cup at 180cc..

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor quality
The non-stick coating in mine started to chip off after only a few months(less than a year). It needs to be replaced after being used for one year since the bottom of the non-stick pan is in a really bad condition. Not a good quality product. I have used other rice cookers before and this one has the shortest life span as far as the non-stick coating is concerned...

We have 5 kids and been using this 2-4 times a month for last two years.

I like it most of all as it has limited options and cooks only rice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, November 11, 2006

I love this rice cooker! It replaced one I had for many years, and was sure I would never find another I liked as well. I was wrong. This rice cooker is absolutely the best. It has replaced the broken one hands down. The rice is perfect every time whether you make 2 servings or serve a crowd, it keeps it warm without ruining it and it is so easy to clean and store. I would recommend this one to anyone that really likes rice and prepares it often.

5.0 out of 5 stars Product performs as expected, February 12, 2008

I borrowed this rice cooker from my nephew who has used many rice cookers in the past. He is very pleased with this product and let me use it for a week. The rice cooker performed as expected with perfect brown, white and wild rice every time. Steam cooking vegetables is a major plus. Vegetables can be cooked at the same time with the rice. Product is very easy to operate.

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME - EVERYTHING COOKER, April 5, 2007
This review is from: Aroma Rice Cooker
This needs to be called the anything cooker as I have cooked, macaroni and cheese, jambalaya, yellow rice, garlic rice, beef stew, spaghetti and meatballs, yup just about anything I can make elsewhere, I've made with this anything cooker. It is better than WP rice cooker, had that one and was in love with it until this one came along. Purchase it as it's a great price and you will have your one pot meals done when you want them to be done. Can't say enough about this product even got my mom and sister hooked on it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Rice!, February 7, 2007
This review is from: Aroma Rice Cooker
i only got to make one batch of rice in this before i lost the measuring cup that comes with it. so after a week of searching my house, i finally emailed the customer service, and they told me they would ship me one, free of charge. during the waiting period, i ruined two big batches of rice, and was really quite upset. as soon as i got my new measuring cup i made 5 cups of rice, and came out so perfect. my last rice cooker was tiny and didn't make the rice this good. really, if you make rice a lot, then this is the perfect machine for you.
also, i have made sticky rice and long grain, and both have come out great.

THIS IN MY FIRST RICE COOKER AND ITS A WINNER. IT MAKES THE MOST PERFECT RICE ALL THE TIME. JUST FILL THE WATER TO THE LINE AND ADD THE RICE AND IN NO TIME IT'S READY.
- IT WILL KEEP IT WARM FOR DAYS TOO. THE TIME DELAY IS A NICE BONUS
- DONT BUY ANYTHING ELSE I PROMISE THIS IS THE #1 RICE COOKER.
- ANOTHER PLUS IS THE PRICE
- IT MAKES UP TO 10 CUPS OR RICE... MAN! ...THATS A BUNCH OF RICE

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Rice Cooker!, May 12, 2007

I wanted a new rice cooker because I've had a string of cookers that either broke down, or began to burn or undercook rice. I saw these great reviews and thought I'd make the investment (which is a big one considering I'm a college student). At any rate, it makes rice perfectly, and you can mix and match grains as well. The texture is just great! This is a bargain at around 50$. I'm very satisfied and it's the best rice cooker I've owned thus far.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor quality, September 30, 2008
The non-stick coating in mine started to chip off after only a few months(less than a year). I have used other rice cookers before and this one has the shortest life span as far as the non-stick coating is concerned.

There is also a bug in the delayed timer. If you set it to 1 hour, it is acturally about 15 minutes. The subsequent hours are fine. For example, the cooking begins after 2 hours and 15 minutes if you set it to 3 hours.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you only have space for ONE steamer, June 14, 2007
This review is from: Aroma Rice Cooker
This is not just a plain rice cooker. It's a powerful steamer with a good-sized basket, and has a "steam cook" setting. It's got a non-stick basket, and the steam basket is a dishwasher safe plastic instead of dent-prone aluminum. Best of all, it's got a brown rice setting! It's probably overkill for people who don't cook a lot of rice, it's certainly more expensive than many other steamers - but I found it worth every penny.

The best thing about it in my cluttered life and kitchen is that it's not a bunch of separate parts - everything tucks inside the main unit and away it goes!

I don't really use the delay function, but for a family on the go, this could be a lifesaver. Oh, and like all rice cookers, it's also an amazingly good way to make soups and stews.
