Works great, impossible to clean,
By Joshua Weiner (Seattle, WA) - See all my reviews Then I went to empty the water canister out into the toilet. The hair and dust had lumped together in a disgusting mass. Fantastic, look at all the nasty that is no longer lying around my house. Once I duped the solid mass into the toilet I tried rinsing out the tank only to discover that it was extremely difficult to rinse all the residue out of the tank due to its design. Its not an empty tank, has a number of protrusions which tend to trap dirt and you can't get your hand in there to scrub it out. Not being able to clean the tank out properly means that a layer of crap builds up that even a strong hot bleach solution can't clean out. When I turn the vacuum on it emits a swamp stench. [...].

Cleans your house, but you can't clean the tank,

This review is from: Aroma AVC2001G HydroPur Filtration Bagless Vacuum Cleaner, Green (Kitchen)
There's no question this is a great vacuum. It will suck all the dust and grime out of your house and its especially great if you have multiple pets. The motor is quite powerful and the wide range of accessories makes cleaning the house rather easy. The problem is once you finish cleaning your house, its impossible to clean the vacuum properly. Empting the tank is somewhat difficult as there's no spout to pout it out. The hole for the hose is badly positions meaning you can easily slop water all over the place. Then comes the problem that the tank is designed with ridges throught it to drop the dirt as it comes into the water. These make it impossible to get the tank entirely clean as it gets trapped, even with repeated washing. Then the tank is divided in two so that the motor can it on the tank, making it impossible to get in there and scrub the back half. There are also sharp corners where organic material gets trapped and start rotting. Even with hot bleach rinses, its going to stink after a while. It works great at cleaning your house but the product becomes too disgusting to use after a while. They should have made the tank easier to clean.

Aroma sai vacuum,

This is not a good product to purchase. It has terrible suction and is very loud. When we tried to clean out the tank all the dirt stuck into the hard corners. I would not recommend this product. I returned the vacuum.

Pretty Impressive,

This little vacuum is pretty impressive. It is great on hardwood floors and small area rugs. I would not recommend this type of vacuum cleaner for large carpet surfaces. A great variety of attachments are included. The only downside is that they advertise it to be an aroma vacuum, but do not include any samples of oils that can be used or information on purchasing them.

Not what I had hoped,

I was very excited to get this vacuum and try it out, but sadly it was not as good as I had hoped. I have allergies and my mother has asthma, so we hoped this vacuum would do a good job of picking up dust and debris. It picks up surface dust but hardly any debris from carpets or rugs, and it does not do any deep cleaning. The attachment is not big or strong enough to do much. I suppose it might be good for hard floors. I had to put a lot of time, sweat, and effort when vacuuming with this machine because it took me so much longer to clean. Cleaning the tank or the brushes was no picnic either. Sorry, but had to return it.

I love this vacuum! There is so much to it and all of the attachments are handy and easy to use! When I recieved it I thought that I had gotten a joke and would regret my purchase, but I was wrong! We have 2 cats, dogs and kids, I couldn't believe the suction power and debris that it picked up! I espcially like the fact that I can turn this vacuum on and it sucks all of the dust and pollen out of the air, my house smells so fresh after running it for about 30 minutes. I will never buy another upright vacuum! The only down fall that I found to this vacuum was attempting to clean the tank, all of the corners are very hard to get to.

This vacuum turned out to be a real frustration. From day 1 it began falling apart, literally. The hose broke off the handle, the wheels popped off the bottom attachment, the spring on the push-button locking mechanism got stuck, and then some. The frustration was in the fact the vacuum actually works beautifully. It cleaned very well and despite the fact the water needed to be changed it was relatively painless. I called the manufacturer and they gleefully sent me all the new parts I requested with no hassle and free of charge. As soon as we used the new parts it all happened again. I just now threw the whole thing out in the trash and purchased a Miele.

great for dog hair!,

We have two dogs. I vacuum every day and I am always amazed at what this vacuum cleaner picks up. The good thing about this type of machine is that I can vacuum my children's rooms and know that when I dump out the dirty water into a large colander in the sink I can fish out the little Lego pieces and loose change the vacuum sucked up, not to mention a few loose earrings. I do rinse it with the kitchen sprayer several times to really get the crud out. I dump the contents of the colander into the trash can or into a plastic bag. It's nice not to breathe in the dust or have to go outside the dump out the dust bin like I do for my Dyson. By the way, this vacuum is only for hard floor surfaces. It is not good at all for carpets. The Dyson is best for carpets. Once a week I pour white vinegar in it, slosh it around, dump it, and let it air dry. I got it at a discount with an online coupon so I think I got my money's worth. Yes, it is a bit flimsy in construction but you learn not to mistreat it. I use it on high and it is loud. The best part is the exhaust air, it does not stink while you vacuum up dog hair. The house always smells fresh after using this. The box came with an extra HEPA filter, which is nice. For the price, this can't be beat. No one can convince me to spend $500 on an old, used Rainbow, much less pay $1200-1700 for a new Rainbow vacuum cleaner.

BAD DESIGN and FALSE ADVERTISEMENT.BAD DESIGN: - Spills dirty water on the floor. From instructions: "check to see if the foam filter is installed correctly, or the floater is not blocked". The foam filter can be mounted in only one position (has kidney shape) and I checked the floater 4 - 5 times - still spills dirty water on the floor. - Impossible to clean and dry - health hazard because of the moist residues where mold and bacteria can grow (that's why they advise to use vinegar and dry the foam filter before reinserting back). FALSE ADVERTISEMENT: Power brush to clean mattress - FALSE: the brush has no power, is a joke. Is worse than a regular brush because the air flow is obstructed by a sort of turbine to spin a brush which stops as soon it touches the mattress.
