I recently acquired a microwave and although I don't believe in using them to cook because of the radiation, I am excited to heat up herbal packs for cramps. I thought this would be a nice set to have around.

As soon as I opened the bag it comes in the odor of cheap, old toothpaste filled the air and began giving me a headache. I was hoping for the natural smell of fresh, unprocessed mint or at least the sugary-sweet scent of candy canes. I rifled through the items as the headache intensified, extremely disappointed to find that in addition to the awful stench the abdominal heat pack is small and slender with a back strap. The strap gets in the way and it's much too long and too slender. I quickly packed it back up again and showed my husband when he came home from work. He agreed that they stank and were oddly shaped, not conducive for use.

I use this pack set for aches of all kinds. My husband uses the back pack (warm) every day after work and it helps him relax for the evening. During allergy and cold season (not recommended for those allergic to the ingredients in the description), we use the smaller pack for the nose and eyes, it helps relieve our allergies. And I use the neck/shoulder pack to relieve my tension. The herbs are very relaxing. I also use it to help my 15 month old sleep when she is having a hard time sleeping (teething pains or if she is sick). I would say it's a must have for anyone who is soothed by calming herbs.
