What a wonderful book this author has put together. This is a must for anyone wanting to get started with aromatherapy without being overwhelmed by technical jargon. This book is split into easy to understand sections.The author explains aromatherapy, gives informative guidlines on using essential oils as well as shopping lists for items needed. You then get an alphabetical list of some of the most widely used oils, their benefits, blending suggestions, authors comments and cautions. The center of the book is devoted to an entire massage session. The last section goes over the many other uses for oils from using them in the bath, to steam inhalation, facial sprays, foot soaks. The last few pages are devoted to 'Treating Common Ailments'. The layout is easy and color coded.
As if this isn't enough, for those who get the hardback of this book you get a wonderful DVD that goes over alot in the book as well as showing you a video of the full body massage and how to do it. If your not much of a reader, or like to 'see' your instructions this video is the best. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is only because all of the measurements in it are metric and there is no conversion table, but don't let that stop you from buying this fantastic book!
