My Dad used to drive a handicap bus some 40 years ago. One of the kids gave him one of these birds and he loves them.

I think every household had one of these years ago...what a great conversation piece. And education for kids. We recently bought one in Branson on vacation, our daughter wants one of her own. Wish now I had picked up a couple of extras for gifts.I am sure today it is not as popular as it was when I was a kid. Be sure to place something underneath...as it moves up & down it moves around. the one we HAD moved off the counter during the night...and the red liquid inside stains (have no idea what was inside this but have a stain on our kitchen floor).

I bought this as a gift for my GM in World of Warcraft. It's a good luck charm. The joke is that he never needs to touch the keyboard again, just set up the bird to push the buttons for him. :) He liked the gift and its a fun toy to have around for conversation.
