This book is a written history of Unicoi County, and is the most comprehensive ever written of the town. But while it may be a book full of facts and family histories it's also a book about the people of Unicoi County and their lives. When I give a review of this book it's from the heart. My great-uncle wrote this book. His researching, cataloging, and interviewing took untold hours, but was all done in a labor of love. It was his passion. This book contains not only the short stories and anecdotes of when he grew up but also the family histories of the entire county. Entertaining and nostalgic you don't have to be from a small town to enjoy it. I thoroughly recommend this book to anyone who wants to revisit the small town life of the thirties and forties for themselves.
