My son and I saw Tom Chapin when he was two. He's now three, and this is his favorite CD, and it's one of mine as well. Chapin's music is geared for kids without being that condesending, tooth-achy syrupy stuff associated with singing kids and purple dinosaurs. Buy this disk and your commute with your kids will be a lot easier!

I love Tom Chapin's music and this is, so far, my favorite album from him. Around the World and Back Again will have you dancing and clapping and singing along! My kids, boys ages 4 years & 16 months, love it as well. It gets us moving happily. Tom Chapin does not "sing down" to kids... he "sings up." He sings songs that teach without being preachy or "babyish." His music is quality music. In my opinion he is one of the best children's musicians out there today. Another bonus is that his music is totally non-character driven (no Elmo or Barney or Rugrats allowed!).

We didn't want our baby to get used to children's music that we couldn't stand... Around the World and Back Again was our answer. It's one of our favorites now, too. It's fun, the songs have a sense of humor, and a valuable sense of internationality.

Our favorites--for today that is!-Didjeridoo, A Forest in the Rain, and In An Elephant World.
What I enjoy most about Tom Chapin is that his songs are all fresh and different (unlike Raffi, for example), and he covers many different topics. Children love them and we adults never get bored listening to them. Around the World is one of our favorite CD's!

I was a huge fan of Tom and his late brother Harry. His show Make A Wish was a masterpiece. Saw where Tom won the Grammy for this work and my 2 year old grandson agrees it deserves the honor. Something for kids that they can learn and have fun from.

I can't tell who likes listening to the CD more me or my 4 year old. We both love to dance and sing the songs. The music captures the kids and lyrics capture me. I recommend it for anyone wanting to share something with very young kids that you will both really enjoy.

What a fun and eye-opening CD! The songs are as much fun for adults as for kids. Listeners learn about dance and instruments from around the world, giving kids a hunger for a geography lesson (Where is Borneo, Mom??).

Busy Day (just taught that one to a classroom of third graders!), they are all great! Fun singing in the car on a long trip kind of music!

i love harry chapin and was truly upset by his death it is wonderful to hear his brother and to introduce my children to their wonderfully musical family. he writes songs that my children and i can relate to. you and your children will love them
