EXCELLENT ENTERTAINMENT AND LEARNING AT THE SAME TIME,

All of the Michel Palin books, audio CD's and DVD's are entertaining AND at the same time provide a lot of knowledge for those of us who don't have the opportunity to travel. Mr. Palin includes history, geography, travel experiences along with his charm and human interest with the people he interacts with along the way. In ATW in 80 Days he is trying to pit the modern world with the literary world of Jules Verne. Phileas Fogg never had customs to deal with though. All modes of transportation were used except planes unless that was the only option. Very interesting as a read, a watch or a listen - I have done all three AND bought a large world map to follow along his travels. This is high on my recommendations list for all time. Enjoy!
