Ray Abshire is a shining light in the Cajun music constellation. Backed by superb musicians like Courtney Granger, David Wimmer, and Andre Michot, Abshire plays traditional dancehall style Cajun music in the vein of his cousin the legendary Nathan Abshire. This is accordion based music with high pitched vocals that any Cajun fan should include in his collection. Straighforward, cleanly played, and just plain beautiful.
