Review
1998 "The book covers most aspects of ARVC/D by the experts, and would be of interest to pediatric cardiologists, adult cardiologists, cardiac electrophysiologists, cardiac pathologists and cardiac surgeons." --
Mansour Al-Nozha, FRCP, Annals of Saudi Medicine Vol. 18/5December 1998 This is a wonderful review of complex disorder, limited mainly but not exclusively to the adult. This book emanated from a conference held in Paris in 1996. The editors, through their chosen authors, review all aspects of this disorder. The book is divided into six sections: Clinical aspects, pathology, etiopathogenesis, diagnostic criteria, therapy, and peculiarities. All aspects are discussed in detail, and most of the accompanying figures are both excellent and relevant...Chapters are outstanding, including those addressing sudden death, morbid anatomy, pathobiology, insight into molecular genetics, and diagnostic criteria...Individual chapters are well referenced and reasonably up-to-date. The index is comprehensive. This book is expensive, but it provides a wonderful database for clinicians and pathologists who treat patients having arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy-dysplasia. --
