Arriva Wireless Headphones;An Excellent Product.,
By
This review is from: Arriva iPod Shuffle (2nd Generation) headphones with in-ear earbud, regular black (Electronics)
I love this product as do all of my friends!I have a drawer
full of different types of headphones-no joke! And,these are absolutely the best headphones on the market for many reasons... For one, they can be adjusted to custom fit your head and ears with a simple bend at any desired point. They can comfortably be used while wearing any kind of winter hat or baseball cap. They stay on with a snug fit for miles,as I recently ran a half marathon with these on. AND,the best part is that there are no more tangled up wires to fuss with! If you have an ipod shuffle, then you should definitely be amongst the lucky ones and own a pair of these headphones.

Absolutely Amazing,

This review is from: Arriva iPod Shuffle (2nd Generation) headphones with in-ear earbud, regular black (Electronics)
I first heard of these cordless headphones when CNET review 'em and from that point on I was completely interested. I've always had issues with cords and them getting snagged on clothing and workout equipment and just annoyances like them hitting your face. After seeing their design (which seemed solid enough) and noticing their unbelievable price, it was an absolute no-brainer to get them.
I have been using the in-ear earbuds for less than a month and I can honestly say that I will never go back to anything else when I want to work out, jog, and even clean because it is literally music in your head! The experience and freedom you get from wearing these are unparalleled to anything else that I have EVER used. Sound quality is good with great comfort but extreme audiophiles looking for superb audio quality will be disappointed. They completely satisfy the need for portable & comfortable headphones without the use of cords. Tweaking with the adjustable arms is an absolute must but be patient with the process because once you get the shape and length down, they are by far the best portable in-ear headphones that I have ever come in contact with (including web-searching). As I work out in the gym, I get at least 2-3 people who notice the set up and have to comment on how ingenious they are and ask me where I got it from. These headphones will be THE next biggest accessory for the iPod Shuffle. On top of that, the customer support from Arriva is courteous and timely in their responses and answer any questions you may have. If you are still contemplating getting this product then you are absolutely wasting time. These are THE headphones to get.

5-star design, 2-star sound quality,
By
This review is from: Arriva iPod Shuffle (2nd Generation) headphones with in-ear earbud, regular black (Electronics)
I've been using these headphones now for 3 months. I purchased them mainly for their design. A perfect design for runners. I've spent many a long and hot run in the Georgia summer. The iPod had no issues with getting wet with sweat. As others have said, it's a little tricky to get the cords bent just right for your individual head/ear shape, but after a while it seemed to fit nicely.
The problem I have with the Arriva, and the reason for 3 stars, is the sound quality. I have a pair of $15 headphones that sound much better. If you're only listening to podcasts, the the Arriva might be a good purchase, but if you like listening to music with a sound quality that is better than cheap headphones, then you will be disappointed. This is a good product with a great design. If Arriva got the sound quality better, I could easily give it a 5-star rating. If you aren't discerning about the sound quality, or if that's not important to you, then I highly recommend these headphones. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

Outstanding Design,

Finally a headphone that effectively eliminates the cord. The sound on these is solid, but the avoidance of a cord is great for using your Ipod Shuffle during activities is great. Earbuds fit well into ears with a little tweaking of the bendable ear bars. A great buy.

Freedom at last,
This review is from: Arriva iPod Shuffle (2nd Generation) headphones with in-ear earbud, regular black (Electronics)
I tried this out the first time today. Wow. This product has revolutionized my running. No more floppy cords getting tangled or hooked on things. No need to stuff the cords down my bra to keep them out of the way. Not more untangling cords when I pull my shuffle out my drawer or purse. The earphones are comfortable and easy to adjust. I bought the black ones with the smaller earbuds and no extra loops. I wear these under my pony tail. It is easy to access the controls, no more fumbling around. The ipod stays absolutely secure when snapped into the headphones and there is no chance of it falling out. The sound is good too. Absolutely no complaints.

Terribly Disappointed,

This review is from: Arriva iPod Shuffle (2nd Generation) headphones with in-ear earbud, regular black (Electronics)
I was terribly disappointed with this product. As an exercise enthusiast I was drawn in by the concept and sold by the great reviews. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience.
The headphones feel cheaply made and I was unimpressed by the flimsy construction. According to the sticker that came stamped on them they were made in China. The instructions that were included with the product were printed in black and white on a single sheet of paper and they actually recommend augmenting the headphones with a piece of scotch tape if you plan on sweating while wearing them. While this left me with an unprofessional first impression, I was still excited to give these things a whirl. The first "whirl" lasted about 30 minutes into my first cardio session with them. Despite my constant fidgeting, I couldn't get each ear to stay in place while running. I thought I had them comfortably secure going into it, but once I began sweating the ear buds continually slipped out. None the less, I was determined to make it work. I tried attaching the different ear bud sizes and kept reshaping them, trying to get them to fit, but to little avail. Somewhere during this process one of the headphones gave out -- permanently. I decided to give them another shot while lifting, although this just led to me taking a 10 minute break in my routine to try (and fail) to get them to fit comfortably. At least the return process was easy. While I don't doubt that some people have enjoyed these, I strongly caution those of you who are on the fence about purchasing a pair of your own. Look elsewhere. You can get a much higher quality for the price.

Its a little fussy getting it to fit at first. After that though, they work pretty good. They're comfortable, and sound pretty good, and you're cord-free!

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Arriva iPod Shuffle (2nd Generation) headphones with in-ear earbud, regular black (Electronics)
I bought these for myself as a Birthday present along with a 3rd Generation shuffle. The product was a bit back ordered... popular item apparently. The backorder is not list on Amazon.. so contact the seller directly to find out about status.
They simply work well... once you get the fitting just right. Design: 1) Before I bought it I was worried about how well it would stay clipped on while running...I was surprised when I saw that it has a step on it that uses the shuffle clip to wrap around it... the shuffle is locked in there. If anything... it is a pain to disconnect because it is so well connected...I am always afraid I will crack the mount... but no issues yet. 2) Getting the cables to fit well in your ear takes some trials and twisting (usually during my run) but eventually it fell into place rather quickly. 3) I run with a hat in the early morning (cold mornings)... and that did cause the mount in the back to push down into my neck... but I just pull the hat above it and bend the position a bit and that seems to resolve it. After a mile I am hot so I lose the hat anyways. Sound: 1) I am not a huge music audio expert... but I have to agree with others... the in-ear is not as nice as even my cheap ones I use... but that could simply be the that I need more tweaking of the position of the wires around my head. It seems if they even come out a little... which happens because of the cable positioning. Controls: 1) Easy to reach behind the head and change the shuffle settings. Overall: There is just such complete freedom from traditional cables... it feels like I just have music in my head. I eel odd running past other people and I know they are saying something to me thinking I have no headphone... I simply smile and wave hello... I must look like a crazy person jamming to "nothing". Worth it though! Get this product... and a 1Gig shuffle and you have enough music for a marathon.

Finally - headphones that fit!,

I have never owned a pair of comfortable, properly fitting headphones - until now. I have a small head w/small ears! I'm a skeptical, cautious shopper, so I do a lot of research first. Thanks to everyones' reviews I didn't hesitate to buy these. Everyone was right - the Arriva headset is perfect and adjustable. I ordered the child's size/small w/the in-the-ear style. No dangling cords, no weight, and others around me don't even know I have them on (hidden under my hair). My daughters love them too - they think they could get away w/wearing them in school w/out anyone knowing (of course I said no!). Even though I bought the size small, there is plenty of room for a larger head, so one pair can fit everyone in your family!

Arriva is to the Shuffle what iPod is to Digital Audio,
This review is from: Arriva iPod Shuffle (2nd Generation) headphones with in-ear earbud, regular black (Electronics)
These headphones have changed my life.
They are amazing. They fit effortlessly out of the box. (no adjustment necessary) I skate (Rollerblade), I use an elliptical, I cycle ... These headphones have become an organic part of all these activities. The noise canceling quality of the ear buds is top notch. The bass produced by them is rich. It's not often that a product enriches your life. This is absolutely on of those products. Thank you ARRIVA!! |
