5.0 out of 5 stars At the end of this book I felt I knew & liked these people., July 14, 1999
Leslie Thomas' love for, and interest in, the people he meets shines through in his works. I was saddened when I finished the book; I wanted to remain in touch with the town and its citizens and visitors. It was all I look for in fiction; laughter, tears, sadness and joy, in short, life as most of us live it.
