I ordered this table for my daughter who has recently become interested in sewing. She was always "borrowing" my folding table so I searched EVERYWHERE to find something similar for a reasonable price. As my table is around 30 years old, the search was not easy. I found this table on Amazon for a reasonable price and decided to "go for it." It arrived today and I took it out to examine the condition before gifting it to my daughter. As some other reviewers noted, the inside edge of the drop down area is in fact a little rough, but it had been painted to reduce some of the "snag" factor. After viewing videos on the Arrow website, I noted that the manufacturer recommends leaving on the sewing platform (the removable part around the free arm of a sewing machine) when the machine is lowered into the table. I lowered the insert and placed my machine inside the table with the platform over the free arm and it fit beautifully. That will definitely prevent snagging on some fabric types.
A couple of other posters commented they were not happy that a chain holds the insert in the dropped position. I understand their confusion, but in reality, the lowering arm fully supports the lowered inset and I believe the chain is strictly a backup safety precaution.
The size and height of the table are terrific and will provide ample space for her to cut out her projects prior to sewing them; the folding legs are very sturdy and the videos on the Arrow website show how to properly lock them into place to prevent wobbling. As I ran my machine, there was no wobble, even at extreme sewing speed on several surfaces (hardwood, tile & carpeting).
It is fairly lightweight (about 34 pounds) and folds back easily for storage in a closet or under a bed.
I am exceptionally pleased with this table; in fact I might have to order another for myself!
Thank you Amazon for making this terrific table available!

After years of searching for a sewing table, I decided to purchase this one based on the price and functionality. I have two separate sewing machines I like to use, so being able to EASILY adjust the sewing machine height when I switch machines is essential. I was pleasantly surprised to see a measuring tape across the top front of the table. I don't recall having read about that when I purchased the table. It's quite sturdy and easy to use. Great value for the money.

So as a promotion present, I treated myself to this adjustable sewing table. I had screwdriver ready to put together, but lo and behold, really no assembly required! Popped open the legs, took me a few minutes to adjust the level to my sewing machine and viola! It doesn't wobble, but I've not sewn with it yet, but for small apartments or work areas, this is a MUST HAVE item! Best investment, especially if you quilt and need that extra "flat space".

I have beeen looking for a sewing table that can be stored out of sight and is adjustable for different applications. This fit the bill, I can use it as a table with plenty of workspace and my freearm sewing machine can become a flatbed. I would recommend this to others.

This table jumps when I sew a fast stitch on my sewing machine while it is on this table. So much so that when I sew on the machine on the table, my scissors and pins will bounce right off the table onto the floor. I sew a lot and needed a table for my new machine. It was actually so difficult to see what I was sewing when the table was jumping that I finally switched it with my serger machine that I don't use much and juts use it as a flat surface table as the opening is not big enough for the serger.
Also, when I had my straight stitch machine on the table and dropped it down to sew level with the table my knees would hit the dropped part when I sat up to the table to sew. It is difficult to change from a dropped position to a level position fast. You have to completely remove the machines cords and I also removed the machine to make sure it didn't fall.
I would not recommend this to anyone wanting to use it for a sewing machine.

I ordered this table on Wednesday and it was here by Friday. Amazingly fast. Even though the table comes with no instructions, it is easy to set up (no assembly required). It took a bit of figuring out how to raise and lower the platform the sewing machine sits on and to adjust it to my machine, but it ended up being rather straighforward. It is a delight to have the bed of the machine at the table level, especially since I'm beginning to quilt. The table appears to be sturdy and when I sew does not shake or jiggle as another brand I tried out did.

The only negative I am aware of is the hole in the table is routered around which leaves raw particle board edges a third of an inch or so below table level. When the platform is raised up, this leaves a rough groove around it which makes no sense to me. It would have been much better to have the hole smooth, so when the platform is raised, it would be all one level. I've also had a couple of fine fabrics snag on the rough indented surface while sewing.

But in spite of the oddity of the routered edge, I am happy with this purchase.

This little table is BIG on value, space, ease, convience!!!! Great work space! Perfect sewing machine space for my Pfaff maching or my feather weight! Fits in a room and seems to take NO space!!! It even folds away to fit into a closet! It is one of the best additions to my sewing collection I have ever made!
