I've been using a TRE300 staple gun and it's about as bad as it gets, I also have a T-50 manual stapler and it works good, but it's very tiring on my 64 year old hands, so I saw this one and the reviewer did'nt rate it very good, but my neighbor dowwn the street has this stapler and I ask if I could borrow it and I did, well I shot a couple hundred staples through it and it worked great, he bought it used from a roofer and has been using it for 12 years, so I said the heck with the review, anything that is still working after that many years of use has got to be pretty darn good, so I bought it, well not only does it work great, ( DRIVES THE STAPLES ALL THE WAY HOME--FLUSH ) But to my supprise this staple gun is made in N.J. right here in the good ole U.S.A., just like the one I borrowed, I would buy another in a heart beat,Is a matter of fact I think I'm going to order another for a spare, just in case something does ever happen to it, it blows the TRE300 away and I love using it, so if you're in the market for a really good durable stapler, you just found it. I have owned the Arrow Electric Staple Gun ETF50BN for two months and have been using it heavily for the past several weeks. I have been using it to staple insulation retaining fabric to the joists in my basement ceiling which is about 1900 square feet so the stapler has been getting a work out. The stapler is easy to operate, triggers with a light touch, and is not fatiguing. It rarely jams. I am very pleased with this staple gun and would purchase again.

Update: I used this for about 2 weeks, it stopped working and I cannot correct the problem. I threw it away, what a waste. I bought a Stanley, we'll see if it is any more reliable. Out of the box I can tell you the Stanley has the Arrow beat:
- It has a fairly long cord - It has directions - It is easier to load - It has an on/off switch - It is safer - trigger cannot be pulled unless gun is pressed into the material being stapled, like a pneumatic nail gun. Arrow can press trigger and point it at someone, very unsafe, it will fire. Such a simple feature, shame on Arrow for producing such a piece of crap. Original review: I have several staplers including a staple hammer but I figured this would be easier and more accurate. I will admit it does staple. However I have a number of complaints. First, I could not open the staple load slot. Sounds simple but I did what I normally do but could not get it open. Simple, I will look for the directions. NONE. Not even a little slip of paper identifying how to reload, etc. I finally figured out by forcing it that a burr was preventing it from opening. I shot about 10 staples and it jammed. I managed to clear it and it does not jam very often. It has a really short cord (about 6") and that is very annoying because you always have the male and female and of the plug at your wrist and it gets in the way big time. It does not hold very many staples. It is supposed to hold brads, but I do not have a clue which ones or how to load them, since there are no directions. Overall very disappoining, as I said it does staple but it could be a whole lot better.

Didn't make it through the first day! I thought that maybe Arrow would make a great stapler only to end up disappointed. After using it for about an hour and a half and about 50 staples it just quit working. I was using it on a good work table stapling soft wood (Pine). Also I didn't mind the short cord (about 6-8") but it is a little annoying having the plug at your wrist.

It staples ok, but it shipped without instructions, warranty, or staples and the cord is 8" long. All of that would have been nice to know up front.

All arrow staplers stink,

I have never owned an arrow stapler that could last for more than 6 months of steady use, NEVER! They usually just get jammed all the time, but recently I had a hammer tacker that broke for no reason, (unless they aren't suppose to be used as a stapler), (maybe they are for wall ornaments or paper weights). I will say this though, if you do buy one you will enjoy it for the first month or so, but just remember be gentle with it, it is a arrow stapler after all! Maybe I am misreading the label... Oh yeah, my bad, I've been buying the arrow "disposable" staplers.
