Book Description

September 19, 2005

Riding across the Arizona desert in 1884 and carrying close to a million dollars worth of twenty dollar gold pieces, Cassidy Howard is transported to the present with an Apache arrow in her back. Sheriff Jesse White Feather, a full-blood Apache, wants to know why his family marking is on the arrow and who in his family wants to harm Cassidy.

When someone in the present tries to steal her gold and her life, Cassidy must put her trust in Jesse so that, together, they can discover the culprit's identity. As they do, they also discover the magic that binds their two worlds together. Cassidy finds the true meaning of home, while Jesse finds the roots he’s lost.

During the investigation, Jesse is drawn to the unusual woman and realizes he is giving away his heart, which is the only gift she wants from him...

Editorial Reviews

Review

"Like an arrow to your heart, you are bound to love this book! Janet Quinn is a masterful storyteller and deftly holds you spellbound, so you can't put down this delightful time-travel tale. The humour and suspense is wonderful as Cassidy takes in the new roles for men and women and the dangers and delights of the 21st century. The interaction between Jesse and Cassidy and the secondary characters is well developed, while the tales of Stan Talltrees, Jesse's sage old grandfather, allow the magic to be real." --Audrey Lawrence, The Romance Studio

"...A time-travel story that will mesmerize you from the beginning to the end. Once again, Janet Quinn has written a priceless work that will take you from 1884 to the 21st century. The writer paints such a real portrait of Cassidy viewing the modern times compared to her living in the past that it was fascinating visualizing Cassidy's expressions through the different years of time. In addition, Ms. Quinn has given us many secondary characters that blend in this story to create a remarkable treasure. I loved the character of Jesse's grandfather and all the tales he inspired in the story. Ms. Quinn is an excellent storyteller. She creates stories that touch the heart, that make you laugh, cry and leaves you releasing a wonderful sigh when the story comes to a close. Her books are like a huge movie as the curtain opens creating romance, suspense, humor, and a captivating conclusion that will leave you shouting for more. She brings all her characters to life. Bravo to Ms. Quinn for another remarkable book read. I highly recommend this book." --Linda, Fallen Angels Reviews

"Ms. Quinn has written a thrilling and captivating time-travel romance. The hero and heroine being stalked by a killer made the story even more exciting... The romance between these two characters was very beautiful and heart wrenching. I look forward to reading more books by her." --Candy Cay, Coffee Time Romance --This text refers to the Kindle Edition edition.
