Arrow Fastener #JT21CM JT21 -- Great little workhorse for light jobs. I got it for upholstering dining room chair seats and stretching canvas. Works fine, but you may want to apply some pressure at the top front as you staple. It will ensure the staples get in there. Without that applied pressure, the staples may set up a bit from the surface. With that in mind, it is a good tool. Staplers I've had in the past have always needed the extra pressure. If that is a problem for you, get a heavier model.

I bought this to staple my canvases to stretchers. It works great. Staples go through cleanly and neatly, and I haven't had to go back and remove a poorly laid staple yet. It's exactly what it looks like, a simple staple gun.

A word of warning, though...this staple gun doesn't come with staples. I didn't see it mentioned so I'd assumed it would, but luckily Amazon also sells those for not too much and I was able to get those not long after the gun.

The staple loading end was bent coming out of the package. I rebent it back into shape and it works fine though it was annoying. Otherwise it does the job of light weight stapling without a lot of effort.

I bought one of these 25 - 30 years ago. Worked flawlessly until the day it mysteriously disappeared. Functioned so well that the current unit is an identical replacement. Seems to function okay, although I have only had it for a little while. What I notice is that the manufacturing quality of this stapler does not come close to the old one. Two halves of the stapler don't quite fit together. Edges of the parts, where they were punched out of the sheet of steel, are not smoothed at all, leaving somewhat sharp, scratchy edges on all the parts. Old one had a convenient lock. New one does not, so it is always cocked with no "safe" position. These are minor things, just disappointing to see the decline of quality of manufacturing in America over the years. Hope it functions as long and as well as the original.

This is a great little stapler. I've had mine for 25 years and I got it used. It still works like new and keeps popping the staples out. Over the years it's had many uses. I've used it to staple magazine and book covers on. Currently I am using it to stretch canvasses on wooden frames for my paintings.

It's not a heavy duty stapler. For that you might need the JT-30 or bigger stapler, but for light work, it's just fine. I've always used Arrow staples in it and it's been jam and trouble free. Unlike the expensive heavy duty staplers, it's low cost is a big plus.

Since it is very light weight, one might have to apply some downward pressure to insure maximum penetration for the staples. Hardwood might be a problem too.

Okay if you just need a cheap staple gun. I would probably buy something a little different if I were to do it again. I don't like that the lever that works the staple gun is always cocked. Most have a way to lock the lever inward so it saves on space, which is handy if you will be carrying it around or in a tool box. It functions fine otherwise. Buying staples isn't very straightforward either. If you do buy this staple gun, I suggest ordering extra staples for it at the time of purchase, so that you don't have to research which staples to buy and hope you can find the right sized ones nearby or online a few years down the road.

I have had mine for many years, no problems, works fine. Mine is painted a light blue, but is the same product. TWO POINTS: (1) I am strong, etc., but have small hands, so the full size Arrow fastener is difficult for me to tet my hand around to squeeze the lever, so this is the perfect solution. I use it for HEAVY DUTY use. (2) Arrow and Amazon seem to be trying to push a newer Arrow junior fastener that uses the same staples, It's called T27, and, according to the Amazon reviews, appears to be a big disaster to be avoided. Get this one instead. Robust and reliable.

Handy little stapler. Only thing is you have to look closely to see is takes different staples than the larger T-50 type staplers. This caused me another trip to take back the T-50 types staples and get the "21" type staples. Otherwise this stapler is bulletproof. We have five of them and use them hard with no complaint. One other weird thing is two of the staplers came in a version that loads from the bottom. The other three came in the usual version. Highly recommended for light jobs.
