5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Yellow Grits
Yellow grits have not been available in our local supermarkets for quite some time, so when I needed some to make my new favorite, Zea's Corn Grits, I searched online. 1.0 out of 5 stars Not for true grits lovers
The dry product is extremely fine, almost powdery. The cooked product is mushy and doesn't even taste like grits to me. I like the coarse stone ground grits which haven't been de-germed. Regular white grits from the grocery store is preferable to this product. I will donate the three unopened boxes to our local food bank.

Yellow grits have not been available in our local supermarkets for quite some time, so when I needed some to make my new favorite, Zea's Corn Grits, I searched online. The first brand that I tried made much of being "stone ground", but the texture when cooked was too coarse for the dish. These Arrowhead Mills Organic Yellow Corn Grits were my second purchase, and they have the perfect texture. They cook quickly and are full of good corn flavor. Highly recommended.

I am from the South and yes, I've eaten a lot of grits in my life. Except for most of it I ate traditional white style. Until I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease, I had to find a gluten-free version of grits that were 'safe' for me to consume. Thankfully I found Arrowhead Mills. I have eaten a bowl of Arrowhead Mills Yellow Grits nearly every day for several years now. They are without a doubt the best-tasting grits I've ever had. They are creamy and flavorful in comparision with white, and they are better tasting than some other organic brands I had to try when the store ran out of AM. They are also consistently produced and I've never had any issues with them. If you haven't tried grits before, or yellow you really are missing out!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Grits, March 18, 2008
I have been trying to find a good source for yellow grits, which I consider to be much more flavorful than white, for some time. I tried the Arrowhead Mills Yellow Organic Grits. They are quite good. Creamy, excellent flavor - among the best I have found in yellow grits. I'm a Southerner and heartily recommend this product.

Good quality product- medium grain, cook quickly & taste great. Very good value versus buying single packages in the grocery store which even here in the South most often carry instant grits (Yuck!)
Cook 'em, add Cheddar & heavy cream with a dash of Tabasco sauce & top with sauteed shrimp for a quick & very tasty meal anytime.
Oh yeah they're good at breakfast too!

4.0 out of 5 stars Polenta, June 26, 2008
Living a rural area, I have a hard time finding any version of polenta. This was a lifesaver! The reasons I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it does tend to be a little mushier than traditional polenta, and although labeled as microwaveable, boiled over every time!

I first had Arrowhead Mills Organic Grits at Albany (Louisiana)Plantation about four years ago. "Cajun Joe" Bourgeois and "Princess Linda," the owners of the plantation, served them to us saying how good they were. And good they were. I have been trying to find them ever since, and finally located them online.

The way we prepare them, in traditional "Southern Style," They are hard to beat. I have them every morning now.

For those of you who love your grits, especially those Southerners who can't find them in the local grocery store, these are great! If you have to ask, 'What's a grit?' this is a great way to find out.

this is the only grits my husband will eat now. since i started changing the way we eat, taking out all whites, this was the way to go quality wise. i like that it is organic and available at a pretty low price. i believe you will be happy with this product.
