4.0 out of 5 stars Good Pack!!! Would highly recommend., October 4, 2008
This review is from: Arsenal GB5243 Polyester Trauma Backpack, Blue (Tools & Home Improvement)
I am a member of the local Search and Rescue and EMT's and have used this pack on searches via ATV. It fits great and is really comfortable. The only problem I noticed is the front mesh pocket is not deep enough to hold the O2 tanks that we use. The construction and interior compartments are great-holds the rest of my supplies very well. I would highly recommend this pack for a quick first aid pack. Wish the inner compartments were adjustable maybe. Great price for the pack too!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!, August 8, 2011

Excellent product quality, durable stitching and seams, and large capacity. Can't quite fit a standard O2 bottle in the mesh webbing, but it does fit a folded Laerdal c-collar perfectly. Comes with removable divider insert, radio/cell phone pouch (doesn't fit a Kenwood K2), and ample pocket and mesh storage space. I do believe the pack is meant to be worn over only one shoulder, as it is somewhat uncomfortable when carried like a "normal" backpack.

Overall, great buy and great price for what you get. Makes for a great go-bag or trauma kit.

bag is moderate size w multiple internal pockets in a removeable divider. tight fit to zip up when fully loaded w an adult size b.v.m(bag valve mask). other models had sizing problems holding the o2 tank. this bag held it just fine. durable top lift handle and a small pouch on the shoulder strap is great for holding 6 sets of folded nitrile gloves.

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy, December 9, 2010

My O2 bottle doesn't fit in the mesh like i planned it to. But I appreciate this bag when I go solo all the time. Pretty easy to memorize where things are. I have half of a heavy rescue bag in this little pack, alls i need more is o2, BVM and a larger splint. Many things don't fit comfortably in the bag, but essentials will.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Nursing Clinicals, December 28, 2011
This review is from: Arsenal GB5243 Polyester Trauma Backpack, Blue (Tools & Home Improvement)
I found many bags on the internet geared for the nurse/nursing student. However upon examining them at the stores I felt they were cheaply made and would not withstand the travel to and from clinicals. I loved the idea and ease of a backpack as I will most likely need to take the train into Philadelphia. I found this little gem on another site for nearly TWICE the price. (Not that it would not be worth it, nonetheless I am a student and therefore on a budget.)

I received it from my husband for Christmas and I was amazed at how nice it is!

1. sturdy
2. plenty of pockets
3. flaps cover zippers, great for cold snowy/rainy days
4. clear plastic name tag on the side
5. opens wider than traditional backpacks
6. net compartment in the front (meant for portable oxygen) will hold a large coffee thermos or water bottle!!!!!
7. removable soft sectioned tray (lays in bottom)
8. reflective strips

The only drawback was I wish one of the pockets was large enough to hold my new Littmann stethoscope as I do not just want to toss it in the backpack. Because the backpack is designed for EMS laying the scope inside makes sense to quickly grab when needed. If you're a nurse/nursing student this is easily remedied by purchasing a $3.00 cosmetic case and putting the scope inside.

Good quality with extra tie down straps. Outside of pack has reflective tape for night time identification. Inside the pack has several compartments to store various EMS
supplies.
