Great book to introduce children to the world of Monet. Beautiful review of the artist's life and his work, with emphasis on light, color and impressions. The author has you walking through the artist's work feeling the sensations he felt when he painted. This book is a wonderful way to see the world through Monet's eyes. My 8-year old and my 5-year old both enjoyed this book thoroughly.

There are too many other options to waste your money here. Get Monet (Getting to Know the World's Greatest Artists) and a large book of reproductions instead.

As I said, it was very overpriced for what you got.
You can usually have a better look at the item on line to tell what you're getting. This publisher doesn't give you that option and I took a chance. It came in a plastic sealed package to assure that it cannot be returned. I felt ripped off.
