About the Author
Caroline Linscott is an award-winning western watercolor artist, and president of Women Artists of the West. Her work has been selected for several juried exhibitions, including the Sedona Art League Juried Exhibit, La Habra Art Festival, and The Laguna Beach Art Festival, as well as for galleries and museums. Her studio and gallery can be found in the historic Lobo house in San Juan Capistrano, California. As the grand-niece of the renown western artist, Frank Tenney Johnson, Julie Christiansen-Dull is an award-winning watercolor artist and writer who is currently Secretary for Women Artists of the West national organization, whose work has been selected for the following juried expositions: La Habra Art Festival, Dana Point Art Ass., Irvine Art Exposition, Echoes & Visions, Laguna Niguel, Art-a-Fair, Laguna Beach, Women Artist of the West National and International Exhibitions, Phippen Museum, Arizona. Her art awards include: Watercolor USA's 1998 Special Purchase Award, Windsor-Newton Best of Watercolor, Macey Award for Set Design, and First, Second and Third Place in local competitions. This year she was chosen as one of the National Park Ambassadors for the Grant Kohrs National Historic Site Montana Artist's Gathering. Her art has been published in Splash 6, Northlight Publications, Once Upon a Time, and Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. Her writing publications include Orange County Register, World of Watercolor, In One Hundred Words, Journey into the Past and she has earned the Pen Woman Award in Children's Literature and two awards in the Top 100 writers in Writer's Digest. She is currently working on publishing three children's novels and ten picture books.
