A Must Read .....for educators, students, parents: Definitely 5 stars

Valuable information for any interested in the in's and out's of life and in learning how to adjust in today's world ....clearly explains the power of Art in Healing.
Each chapter gives examples of how the interpretation of the individual's art, especially after a traumatic experience, opens the door to his mind and helps one learn to develop the necessary attachment and trust to recover and become healthy. This interesting book is easy to understand, even when explaining brain development and function; all ages are represented from the young child to an adult with Alzheimer's ....
very uplifting

This book was written by one of my past professors, and I love her work so maybe I am bias...hahah...but I love the way she writes. She writes how she talks, and it's very straightforward and simple to me. Some of my classmates don't like how she writes, but that is because they don't like her teaching methods. To each their own; but I also have a lot of classmates who love her books just as much as I do. I highly recommend reading this book, it opens your eyes to real situations and helps you learn.

If you are interested in Art Therapy or Psychology this is a must buy.

I'm a student and getting my text books at an awesome deal is important to me. Its also important that I receive my books in a timely fashion due to that fact that as soon as the semester begins, the reading starts to pile up. I signed up for amazon prime, got my text books in 2 days.. it was dependable!..

In contrast to the other reviewers (one of which seemed to want to please her professor), I found the contents of this book to be chaotic and frustrating to read. The author leap-frogs from topic to topic, leaving the reader at a loss for where the contents of this book will land. A good copy edit might have helped.

Yes, it certainly gave me angst and thus I give it 2 stars for doing just that. Save your money on this and purchase books from reputable publishers like Guilford, Wiley or Routledge if you are looking for art therapy titles.
