My husband bought this book for our 6 week old daughter and she loves to look at it. I prop her up on the boppy and she will just stare at the pictures forever, she even turns her head to see the opposite page. I would buy this book for anyone having a baby. We also have the White on Black books and she seems to like Art for Baby more since it is bigger and easier for her to see.

This is just the unique board book you have been looking for. You want people to think you, the gift giver, have some class, style and appreciation for art, without being snobby. Well, here is the perfect gift for new parents who want to keep the pastels at bay and enjoy some intriguing black and white art by the likes of Damien Hirst, Gary Hume, Takashi Murakami and others. Comes with a set of prints to add to the nursery decor.

I have bought many books for my granddaughter but more than any other she locked onto this one and just stared at each picture as if in a trance. Out-of-this-world beautiful!

I bought several high-contrast books for my son, who is my first child. Art for Baby is my favorite (and his). I use it during tummy time on the boppy, and it keeps him interested (and working those back and neck muscles) longer than if I didn't have the book in front of him. A great addition to this book is the frameable prints of each picture that parents can use to decorate the baby's room. When I bought this book, I didn't realize it came with the prints, which I feel makes the book worth its price. I highly recommend this book for anybody having a baby.

Our baby is very captivated by some of the art in this book. He enjoys it during tummy time in particular.

I definitely wish the book was longer, but the baby doesn't seem to care since it's about two or three pictures that he really likes to focus on.

The black and white images are really great to look at, the book is of very high quality (it stands up well on its own) and other family members have been mesmerized by it as well, especially grandpa.

I came across this book when my little guy was just about 3 months.

I wished I'd found it sooner.

He was REALLY into this book for about 3 weeks, but now I have to cycle it in and out ever few days to retain interest.

The accompanying nursery mini-posters of the pictures in the book would be GREAT to hang above a changing table or some other place where baby spends a lot of time staring while hanging out.

My little man was a contrast addict in the beginning and started smiling at those types of images before he did us.

This would make a wonderful baby shower gift.

I really like the design of these cards but I'm not sure how useful they are. My baby is somewhat interested in them but not any more than everything else around her. They are well constructed and very artistic.

This is a great book - as an artist, it is important to start my baby off learning about art. She's 2 months old and enjoys looking at the images.

Art for baby is a wonderful book of black and white, high contrast images selected to stimulate an infant's gaze. A fantastic selection of art and artists, the images are varied and fun for the adult and child. The best surprise is a collection of individual prints suitable for framing to decorate your child's nursery. My son is captivated by the artwork.
