best intro to Chet Baker,

This review is from: Art of the Ballad Series (Audio CD)
The Best of the Ballads culled from the Prestige cd's. Minimal singing. Perfect for champagne and candles. The best was to find out if you like cool early Chet. Test CD for your Single Ended Triode! Now, if Prestige would only do this with Miles Davis also!

This review is from: The Art Of The Ballad (MP3 Download)
My older brother bought this for me a few years ago and it quickly became one of my favorites. This CD along with Chet Baker:Live in Tokyo are the best Chet CD's that I know of either would be a great investment. There are many great and different trumpet players both past and present. If I where asked to define my concept of "Cool Jazz" my answer would be ....Chet Baker Playing a ballad!
