Editorial Reviews

From Library Journal

In the hands of a skilled operator, the bandsaw is the most versatile power saw, capable of cutting material of a variety of thicknesses in straight or curved patterns. Duginske, a former contributing editor to Fine Woodworking and a recognized expert on bandsaws, illustrates how to adjust bandsaws to obtain optimum performance. He shows numerous techniques for cuts of all types, both freehand and using jigs or templates. The latter half of this title offers instructions for a variety of projects created by top woodworkers, including candlesticks, lamps, toys, and boxes. An excellent guide on how to get the most from an often underutilized tool; recommended for public libraries.

3.0 out of 5 stars Where's the rocking chair?, December 21, 2004
This review is from: The Art of the Band Saw: Award-Winning Designs (Paperback)
To be honest, I bought the book in hopes that the beautiful rocking chair shown on the cover would be either one of the plans, or at least described in the book ... however it is not. The rest of the book looks ok, but was not my primary reason for buying it.
