5.0 out of 5 stars A Combination of Wonderful Art and Love, January 5, 2000
By
Those unfamiliar with Bev Doolittle's work miss the opportunity to discover a true artist's blending combination of technical skill, and understanding of nature, and a love for her work which leaps from every page. She beautifully weaves nature, man, and its animals in a mystical manner. A wonderful choice for anyone who appreciates great talent. Also a wonderful experience for children in examining and finding the hidden so intricately involved.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gorgeous Western Art, December 28, 2001
Bev Doolittle's definitive collection (you don't need anything else of hers if you have this one) is a glorious compendium of richly detailed full-color reproductions of her paintings. The optical tricks alone are worth the book's price tag, and the minuteness and authenticity of Doolittle's details rival the paintings of Frank C. McCarthy (another favorite of mine). Anyone who loves illustrations of horses, American Indians, or both cannot call their collection complete without this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars magnificent coffee table book, November 16, 1998
By A Customer
I have this book on the coffee table in the middle of the living room so that when guests admire Doolittle's prints hanging on the walls, I can show them some of her other pieces. I never was "into" any particular artist until I caught a glimpse of her work!! Bev Doolittle's art is addictive!! Get one and you'll easily become a collector!! Beautiful work! I can't wait to see what is next.

5.0 out of 5 stars I think the pictures are so realistic and so dramatic., September 14, 1999
By A Customer
When I saw the pictures, they almost looked like as though they were pictures taken by a camera. My favorite painting was the one where the horses and indians were hidden in the trees. The only thing you could see when you first looked at it was the red fox. I hope that many teens who are interested in art, will come and look through it. You'll get many indeas on what to draw.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautifully done and informative., September 18, 1998

If you can't afford the prints, then get this book. If you can afford the prints, get the book so you have a summary of her work.

The book is amazing to look at - the visuals that Beverly Doolitle creates sometimes leave you doubting your mind. Truly an artist with a different perspective on things.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Art of bev Doolittle, September 18, 2010

This review is from: The Art of Bev Doolittle (Hardcover)
I have always loved Bev Doolittle's work but could never afford to have many pieces. Now I have a whole book full of them and can look whenever I wish. I am thinking of taking the front piece and framing it myself. It is perfect for my living room.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bev Doolittle, May 21, 2009
This review is from: The Art of Bev Doolittle (Hardcover)
I'm more then over the moon with my purchase of "The Art of Bev Doolittle".
It has taken me over 15 years to finally find someone who had this book. I have been a huge fan of Bev Doolittle since my stay in Canada in 1994. Back then art prints were very popular in the states and Canada. I was travelling so could not buy a heavy book to carry around with me. The wait has been worth it. I was very impressed with the short time it took for Amazon to send me my order, and very impressed with how efficient they where. the book was very well priced as well. Thank You Amazon

5.0 out of 5 stars About the Different Editions of The Art of Bev Doolittle, February 1, 2009
This review is from: The Art of Bev Doolittle (Hardcover)
This, obviously, was Bev Doolittle's breakout book and it has been reprinted many times.

I've encountered two editions of the book in hardback: one published by Greenwich Workshop and one by Bantam.

The edition published by the Greenwich Workshop is a quality book: hardback bound in cloth with heavy paper used for the leaves and for the dustcover. The Bantam is much less substantial.

4.0 out of 5 stars ok, December 6, 2008
I would have liked to know that there was highlighter marks in the book. I would've bought one that didn't. This should be disclosed in the description of the condition of the books in the future. Otherwise book was fine.
