5.0 out of 5 stars Great Read, March 28, 2006
This review is from: The Art of Changing: Your Path to a Better Life (Paperback)
I never realized how important it was to think and behave differently if I want my life to get better. I guess I was just in denial or something. When I started reading this book I had a light bulb moment and then couldn't put it down. I applaud Ms. Peabody for being so honest about her own transformation. I bought 4 copies for my friends and they loved it too. I highly recommend this book.

2.0 out of 5 stars not enough, February 11, 2010
    A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Art of Changing: Your Path to a Better Life (Paperback)
at around page 40 i found myself asking "when is this book going to pick-up,go into some deep stuff?" needless to say this is not a good sighn, especially considering the book is only 87 pages long.If you are looking for a light hearted book to curl up with on a sunday morning and then be done with it,then this is the book for you...enjoy.
But if you are looking for something deeper and insightful, then move on to something else. This is a very "light reed",doesn't dig too deep into anything, and to be honest it felt more like a pamphlet that someone gives you to get an overview of things.
the book can be summed up in the following statements:

    -change happens for different reason.
-when you are reasy for it,it will come to you.embrace it and don't be afraid.
-took to your past, and forgive whom ever hurt you.
-have self-esteem,it's important.it's ok to not be perfect.
    -go to therapy
    -join a support group
    -have patience.
CONGRATULATIONS!!you just saved yourself a few bucks.
yes,the points that she makes are valid. But the problem is that they are only points, she doesn't say HOW to achieve these things, she just tell you to achieve them and then moves on.
