5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, December 19, 2006
This review is from: Art of Chill 2 (Audio CD)
I purchased this album blindly because I'm a big fan of chill-out compilations. I was more that pleasantly surprised by the great tracks on both discs. There is not a single track that I had any second thoughts about - all are very well selected and laid out.

If you want a mixture of great rhythms and flowing melodies for a great value, this is for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars getting focused, November 20, 2006

This review is from: Art of Chill 2 (Audio CD)
Art of Chill 2 is an amazing divergence from traditional relaxation CD's. Whether I'm looking for background sounds while reading, entering the relaxation zone or focusing on positive feelings, this 2 CD collection has become a favorite of mine. I'm a musician and have not been a big fan of electronically created drum or melodic sounds, but when I heard this CD I was attracted to all of the tracks immediately. It's not too often that you can find an artist/CD where everthing on it has an impact on you. While playing the CD's working in my office I'm able to focus my concentration and satisfy my never ending craving for new and creative sounds. If I want to relax and calm myself I've been able to do so with the sounds on this CD set. Jon Hopkins is a clever musician and taps into some captivating rythyms, chord progressions, melodies and lyrics. I enjoy listening to this CD as it is my number one relaxation technique on plastic. Very captivating, and you'll definetly chill; don't pass it up.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Art of Chill 2 (Audio CD)
I bought this on Amazon MP3 because I heard one of the tracks on some internet radio station and wanted just that one track. Unfortunately, it's all or nothing; you can't just buy one track. You have to buy the whole album.

Fortunately, the entire album is awesome and WELL worth the purchase price. It's very well put together, with nice transitions. It is VERY listenable and will put you in a good mood! This album has introduced me to some artists that I haven't heard before, and I'm glad of it.

Buy it now. If you are into music you can just kick back and relax to, you are going to love it!
