This review is from: Art and Craft of Quilting: "A Beginner's Guide to Patchwork Design, Color and Expession" (Paperback)
This is an excellent book. It has lots of color and shows quilting techniques and projects from stool and pillow covers to clothing. The text descriptions are clear and easy to follow. Photos of the work of a many other diverse quilting artists offer great ideas for advanced quilters and inspiration for beginners. I get new ideas every time I read it.

This is a well written and informative book full of colorful examples. I was primarily interested in learning Bargello design techniques. That chapter was very good. The tip on using adhesive backed foot pads to make straight seams really works! I also particularly liked the chapter on wearable quilt art.
In addition to the mechanics of quilting the author covers quite extensively the artistic elements of quilting. Throughout the book are insets titled "Color Note" which I found helpful in explaining the effects that different color fabrics have on each other.
