4.0 out of 5 stars Not strictly art deco, November 9, 2011

This review is from: The Art Deco Style (Dover Architecture) (Paperback)
There is a page and a quarter of commentary, and the rest of the book are photographs or print reproductions. The book includes not only art deco, but a large number of plates are examples of bauhaus, vkhutemas, and constructivism, without differentiating them from one another. Certainly these were contemporary styles, but the ideology was different, and the look and feel of the designs are different. In that I think the book is a little confusing. Nevertheless, if you know what you are looking at, then the book does provide numerous examples of art deco in construction, household objects, and jewelry.
