This is a small book (54 pages) but it is absolutely fantastic. It covers all the important areas of diorama making from Designing, to building, Painting and Displaying. Sometimes these different aspects of diorama making are overlooked. My personal favorite thing about this book is the coverage of boxed scenes and shadow boxes. Often, the container that a diorama is put into is overlooked. This book helps you to realize that the container is an important aspect of the art of the diorama. Replete with lots of great pictures of dioramas that are quite beautiful.
Loaded with pictures and lots of practical advice on lighting, water, painting the figures and more. |
