After listening to this CD several times, I would like to say how much I really like both the composing (especially Sackett's Harbour, Manisia Lynn, and Miss O.) Tim Haldeman, the saxiphonist was truly exceptional in both his writing and performances of all selections on this CD. I would be very interested in hearing about any other CD's including his performance and composition. EXCEPTIONAL! Bonnie Garrison

I've had this album for a while now. It was an instant favorite and resurfaced this morning during a Facebook conversation with a friend about the great Noritaka Tanaka. These guys nailed it. "Smokeless Heat" is about as concise as you can get in describing this band's sound. Wonderful compositions, wonderful ideas, and a beautiful ensemble style. If you have found yourself here reading, you know what to do.
