This book is a must read for anyone with aspirations of being a Emmcee/Rapper/Lyricist...Even spoken word artistS should read. In fact anybody planning to record/perform vocals will find value in this book. It is a simple,easy to read guide to writing lyrics in a manner that facilitates performance. As well as good tips on how to engage yourself in the music industry in an effective manner.

BOTTOM LINE: IF YOU TRYING TO RAP, YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK, EVEN IF YOU'VE BEEN RAPPING FOR YEARS.

I'm a lyricist myself, writing for atleast 8 years before I read this book....I still was able to learn a lot.

This book has been an invaluable resource to me as a rapper. I have been rapping for at least 10years and have been doing this as a performing rap artist for about 6years. This book helped me to grow in regard to song development and in the area of overcoming writers block. Stic writes very clear and easy to understand and follow techniques for creating, developing, completing and even tips on publishing your work. Stic does not go deep into the business end of things in this book, because I believe the primary purpose was to develop the craft of those who read this book and introduce them to some key business insights that will help as you progress in the game. I highly recommend this book, it was such a blessing to me that I bought a copy for the members of the rap group that I was with at the time.
