The application's quick-start menu gives users a wide selection of available projects: greeting cards, photo cards, announcements, invitations, envelopes, labels, postcards, gift tags, e-cards, stationery, signs, posters, and crafts. Each one of these sections then includes a diverse range of categories. Users can personalize projects within these categories, or use the templates provided. Furthermore, each category has the option to work with a blank template, allowing a more creative person to completely customize their projects.
The most exciting and original feature of Greeting Card Factory is the crafts section. In this section, an engaging and unique offering of projects is available to the user. Such projects include: craft cards with gift enclosures and money holders, book covers, bookmarks, door hangers, envelopes, gift bags, gift baskets, gift boxes, masks, origami, paper airplanes, party hats, and tickets.
One major drawback to using Greeting Card Factory is the e-card section. As e-cards are becoming an increasingly popular form of missive, this was an extremely important section to us. However, we found that Greeting Card Factory does not support the use of any mail program other than Microsoft Outlook. If using Microsoft Outlook, Greeting Card Factory will send your e-card in the widely compatible form of a JPG file. However, if using any other kind of program, the recipient of your e-card cannot easily read your attachment.
We found the combination of sophisticated publishing tools, combined with the simplicity of graphics and auto-functions, made Greeting Card Factory an extremely user-friendly application. The clip art available within the program ranges from breathtaking photographs to colorful cartoons and animations. All in all, Greeting Card Factory came through on all its promises: to help anyone create greeting cards and much more for special occasions, holidays, or just for fun. --Kendra Hayden

Awesome,

This program is awesome. I presently own American Creetings Creator Card 5, Print Shop Deluxe 10, Hallmark Card Studio Deluxe 2 and I really do not think any of them can touch this program. Actually I just asked a friend to pick up a copy of the Deluxe version for me.

This is great software at a great price. I've used American Greetings CreataCard and Hallmark Card Studio, but this one has them beat. The versatility, selection and total creative control this program gives you puts it in a class by itself. Many will find it hard to use because it does offer such variety and control of all aspects of card creation. With limited choices and "canned" card designs, CreataCard and Card Studio are easier to use. But if you really want to be able to create all sorts of cards, labels, stationary, etc from scratch or be able to modify to the last detail the designs that are available, this program is for you. It truly is an explosion and endless arangement of graphics and fonts, as well as your own digital photos.UPDATE FEB 2010: My Epson 820 printer died, so I bought another. Decided to get a Lexmark 7675 Pro at a good price. I have a LAN with Frontier DSL High Speed Internet and Lexmark Tech Support helped setting up the wireless printer. Nova's Greeting Card software (Version 7) will not print out any old saved cards or new templates. The sheets coming out are just blank or with chicken tracks on them. Other Windows applications like Word, Excel and map software print out fine. Lexmark says that Nova has to come up with a updated printer driver. I have sent an e-mail to them but have yet to receive a reply. I have a sense that a number of people are seeing printing problems with Greeting Card software, both Nova and Hallmark. Too bad. Guess I'll be buying my cards from now on.

Awesome graphics!,

I loved this program enough to purchase their Christian Greeting Card Factory and just ordered Greeting Card Factory 2. The only problem I had with this particular program (and I own many others: Print Shop 10, Print Master 12, CreataCard 7 Gold, Am.Greetings Sprititual Expressions 6) is for some unknown reason, I had to use print preview or parts of the card would be missing (mostly the bottom and one side border). The graphics are so good, it was worth the extra bother. To the person needing help, their online technical services are wonderful and fast. And FREE as opposed to sitting on the phone forever and for $$. Happy Printing!
