5.0 out of 5 stars Botanical illustrations shine, March 8, 2006

This review is from: The Art of Flowers: A Celebration of Botanical Illustration, Its Masters and Methods (Hardcover)
This book is a compilation of several of the masters of botannical illustrations -- and even has a few how-to pointers. I found the stories about the painters interesting the the color plates irresistable. If you seriously like botannical illustration, this one is an excellent addition to your collection

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing illustration, wonderful book, July 12, 2010

This review is from: The Art of Flowers: A Celebration of Botanical Illustration, Its Masters and Methods (Hardcover)
I would just say that the pictures are wonderful, they are botanical paintings/drawings made by different artists in different periods. The text is interesting, the book itself is a true jewel, I highly recommend it because of its perfect quality.
The edges of each page are golden, what adds to its charm, giving him an antique look.
