Ms. Dean willingly feeds the reader knowledge and ideas based on tried and true methods that never become outdated. In a time when filmmaking has become not just a dream; but, a life work option this book provides filmmakers of all levels the tools and inspiration need to complete their work. It is a map used by documentarians and filmmakers to aid in completing fully funded, successful works.

Finally a book that tells you how to get it together and make your film. Gives you a plan and the confidence to go out there and make it happen. Great interviews with people who've done it. Should be mandatory reading for every film school grad who is trying to make their first film.
