For the first time since 1970, Art Garfunkel has combined the writing of Paul Simon, intertwined with other song writers, in an interpreted collection from his own point of view. It is refreshing to see Mr. Garfunkel enter the limelight from his own perspective for all his fans to see. The music is vibrant and true to the original work, yet updated in a reflective and interpretive way that only Art Garfunkel could deliver. Hats off to the very best collection he has offered since the days of Simon and Garfunkel.

what a voice! art's vocals have never been better and his band on this dvd offering is superb. i'd have liked to see the songs "i will" and "i only have eyes for you" included in this dvd since these were part of the concert and were included on a couple of the cd versions of this concert. oh well, it still is a keeper. especially haunting is the many visions of the world trade center. just watch art and james taylor sing "crying in the rain" against the backdrop of the twin towers....unbelievable! it is indeed a fitting tribute to our innocence and the victims who will never be forgotten. thank you artie!

This is an outstanding concert. Artie's purity of voice reflects his soul! It sounds like an adult version (does adult mean anything?)of a boy singer from Westminster Abbey or Kings College. Something of an angel in the best european tradition! El Condor Pasa, with a wonderful prelude bringing to us back to our natural innocence, and Bright Eyes are superb. Bridge over trouble Water is perfect. Absolutely beautiful, Art, you really went after Plato's image of perfection.

This concert was so good! It was my first time of seeing Art perform (not in person) a solo concert. All the songs are really good. All the S&G classics plus his solo songs mixed in, make this video worthy of numerous viewings. You feel like you're really there in the audience. Art is witty and every word (in seriousness) is so thought-provoking. The song "Grateful", really makes you count your blessings, and makes you see how blessed your life really is in this fast-paced world we live in. You will NOT regret buying this.

This is a family DVD for us. My children (8 and 12) love watching this concert and singing along with the songs. Heartwarming performance and wonderful sound recording. A perfect entertainment for the entire family.

Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel sang together so long I initially had some difficulty getting used to either one all by himself on the stage. It's just good to see Art doing fine. Wonderful feelings ooze out while watching him "fan out" and enjoy the "openness of development of life." So skillfully pieced together in this audiovisual pleasure are the ever-lasting reminiscences he allows us of time and music shared with Paul, and his distinctive creativity now shrouded in a sense of independent perfection.

We didn't get to see the entire show when it was on TV so we figured why not buy it for our home library. It's a great concert for old and new fans alike. Our 8 and 10 year olds have officially become Garfunkel fans thanks to this purchase.

This is a great DVD that is enjoyable to listen too. A good glass of wine and HD and life is great..

It's a wonderful DVD. Garfunkel has an amazing voice. I didn't realize how entertaining he can be. It will go on my list of all time favorites music DVDs.

Art Garfunkel-Acrooss America is a capsule of some of his best work. Before purchasing this on Amazon I had seen this particular concert on cable and was enthralled by the power and intimacy of the songs. What keeps this interesting is the footage of Art Garfunkel traveling across America and his reflections on life. His conversations with the audience during the concert is relaxed and the musicians that perform with him are world class. This is a wonderful concert and I would highly recommend it.
