This review is from: Art History and Its Institutions: The Nineteenth Century (Paperback)
This book is a jewel. The essays trace a genealogy (in a Foucaultian way) of the ways and substrates in which art history has come into being and the institutions and epistemologies it promotes. It is an incredibly interesting book that will clear lots in the Visual Cultures vs. Art History debate.
