Norman Strung knows just what to write when it comes to this kind of stuff. He recommends equipment, strategies, techniques, and various useful facts for hunting everything from waterfowl, to big game, to small game, to upland game. Nice photography. Also talks about how to find and track game. Touches on weapon basics, how to zero rifles, techniques for shotgunning. This book has everything.

I purchased this book for my 13 year old son. He has just begun to enjoy hunting and this book has been a valuable asset to him. It covers a wide variety of wildlife, equipment, and skills. He has used this book over and over for reference as well as reading enjoyment. I highly recommend it for all ages for its informative content, as well as its breathtaking wildlife pictures.

This is by far the best all around hunting book I have ever read. The pictures, explanations, and amount of species covered are incredible. Mr. Strung addresses all the types of weapons as well as the animals you hunt them with. I liked it so much I bought copies for all the guys I go into the woods with. This book has every type of animal you could possibly want information on. The beautiful cover and photography on the inside are some of the best I've seen. I put this as a definite 10 on my list and would recommend it to hunters of any age and experience.

I bought this book at a flea market as a gift for my 13 year old nephew who has expressed an interest in hunting. Showed it to my husband, who was enthralled with it; enough to say that he wanted one too. Though it was published 20 years ago the information is very current. Full of great detail, with wonderful pictures.
