I never thought I could ever like any other version of Fleetwood Mac's classic, "Dreams"... Until I heard Veronica Martell's smoky, jazz-flavored interpretation on her stunning new release THE ART OF INTIMACY. And that's just the first track on a very solid collection of striking vocals from this amazing singer. THE ART OF INTIMACY includes a tasty, well-paced set of tunes ranging from straight-ahead jazz in the tradition of Veronica's early idols, like Ella, Etta, Sarah, and Nancy... To a more contemporary style, influenced by the likes of Stevie and Anita. She's surrounded her clear, warm, beautiful voice with some of NYC's top session players, and has picked an impeccable crop of material as well. Awesome CD, excellent for a relaxing evening. The feel is very classy, lounge-like, and smooth. Instruments are beautifully played and blend well with ease. This CD is perfect for creating a mood. Each song flows seamlessly and feels like a journey to a very beautiful place. Enjoy.

I first heard Veronica on SmoothJazz.com. I loved the cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams." But this is just the tip of the iceberg on an extremely beautiful and luxurious sounding CD. This girl has amazing talent and the CD is crafted to meld the styles of jazz, pop, and R&B in a unique and stylish way. Not to mention the arrangements and musicianship are top notch. I can safely say this CD is now on my desert island Top 10. Bravo, Ms. Martell, you are on your way to superstardom!
