This book offers 60 easy to read and follow lessons with beautiful color pictures of actual work as examples. It's separated into categories according to medium with a spiral binder that stays open to the page you want. My only complaint is that there are only 60 lessons...

2.0 out of 5 stars just ok
I had seen other reviews for this book, raving about it. To me, it indicates that there is a dearth in the art curriculum arena. I need to quit my day job and start writing. The book is colorful and has some merit, but is really nothing more than someone's collection of pictures for children to copy. Somewhere, somehow, I would love to find an art curriculum for children that is deeper than a creek bed but also practical.

2.0 out of 5 stars With Art in Mind: A Collection of 60 Art Lessons, July 29, 2008

This book is skeletal at best, with no art standard connections and very dated material. The best thing about this book is the illustrated examples, too bad the lessons are so lame.
