The art on these cards are truly beautiful. Thay are like the stained glass windows of a church. The cards are very jewel like in color, not pastels - very rich and vibrant. Each card easily tells it's own story. I feel that this deck is truly a woman's deck, not only due to the pictures on the cards, but the size of the cards as well. This deck fits easily in my hands, making dealing so much easier. Some decks are too large for me to handle comfortably. I highly recommend this deck it belongs in every woman's tarot card collection!

The images in this deck are really all stained glass in very intense, super saturated colours, the images are very basic.
This deck is extemely Rider Waite based so if you know the basic tarot deck reading this one will give you little no troubles, but the images on the cards are rather sparse and so really pick up more on the emotion that the card creates.

Pure intuitives would love this deck. As the colours create a feeling and the lack of symbols do not get in the way of leading you in another direction. These cards allow you to read as you feel.

I think this deck is perfect for those either unused to the tarot, (and so a good starter) for those who love the colours. It is a very gentle introduction to the cards accentuating the colours more than anything else.

On the downside, there are very few symbols here and so this is best either for people who love the colour intensity or prefer that. An example is Staves (Wands) are red for courage, Cups blue for water, Swords purple for our Higher Self. and Coins for the golden earth.

The beauty of a feminine deck created by a male artist is easily visible. In my experience, The Art Nouveau Tarot allows me to concentrate on the romantic questioner. Although I choose more traditional decks when asked more general questions, the stories and images in this deck are perfect for reading romantic love.

I was drawn to the deck mainly for its beauty and adding it to my collection of beautiful decks. I didn't really expect to read with this deck. However, when I read the LWB, I was intrigued by the four love stories of the four suits and I liked the idea of fitting a story in each suit. I decided to give it a try for reading.

After several reading sessions with myself and my friends, I was BLOWN AWAY by the uncanny accuracy of this deck. The right cards always showed up in the right places like it was MAGICKAL. I thought it was only an art deck in the first place but the actual reading experiences with it proved me wrong. There's something very special about it. It has also put my Rider Waite to shame when it comes to consistent accuracy in reading.

I understand why some people think it is a difficult deck to read, since the deck doesn't follow the traditional symbolism. But I truly think this deck is in a different league, and in some sense even more successful in bringing out the card meanings effectively than the usual Rider clones, or the Rider itself. It doesn't rely on symbology, but the story-driven system is really intelligent and stirring.

I highly recommend this deck to both tarot readers and connoiseurs.

I believe that this deck is one of the most useful that I have seen.Each card is rich and vibrant with meaning and symbology,and provides insightful and valuable information.I use it and love it so much Ive just bought my fourth copy.Doesn't have symbology? AS IF!

... because after having read the 24 currently existing reviews for this deck, the Art Nouveau Tarot by Mike Myers, it's painfully obvious that at least half a dozen people are reviewing the wrong deck. This is NOT the Tarot Art Nouveau by Antonella Castelli. Any reviewers who have stated the "pastel" artwork, or the comment about the women in various poses that look like the furniture's been removed -- those are reviews for the Castelli deck and NOT for this deck. It is very easy to mistake the two and you will be disappointed if you have seen beautiful color samples of one deck or the other, and then you order the wrong one due to the similar names. This deck uses colors that are deep and richly vibrant, NOT pastels. This deck does NOT come in a miniature version, while the other one does. Perhaps more importantly, the titles on the cards of the other deck are in Italian (I believe), while this one's are English. Having seen both decks I tend to feel that this one is far less "sexy" -- the women are wearing more clothing, and the clothing fits them better -- than on the other deck. I have to laugh and agree with the guy who felt the images of men in this deck are sexier than the ladies!

Some people are moved by "mysticism" in tarot cards. As for myself, I feel that when you're more in tune with the beauty around you, you're more in tune with yourself and others. In that sense, this is a far superior deck than most of the traditional ones. Each card holds extra meaning for me because of the feelings that they invoke when I look at them. If you're relatively inexperienced or not "connected" to others, by all means, use one of the blander, more traditional decks. If you're moved by colors and images, this is easily one of the best decks you can find.

This is the "beautiful people" deck. In spite of the fact it's low on Tarot symbology, the entire deck rates high with it's rich bright colors and a lush theme of stylized stained glass and woodsy greenery. The characters are all young adults of both sexes dressed in a fun and attractive sort-of-medivial attire, including lots of tights, magical wings and of course a few capes. All drawn a little sexy, but very tasteful. Overall it's very attractive. My deck always gets lots of compliments.

True, these cards might lack in the symbolism department, but if you are an intuitive reader, who needs to be reminded of a cards meaning by symbol prompts? The artwork is Beautiful and for more visual/ intuitive readers these cards will work just fine! I did three readings the first day I owned the deck and they were RIGHT-ON! If you are a fan of artwork, this is one of the more attractive decks to come along in a while!

Although I have now been reading the Tarot for over ten years I almost never started! Like many who were put off by the Rider-Waite deck's colors and cartoonish 'flatness' I thought Tarot was not for me. That is until I got this deck. The rich colors and flowing movements in the pictures made it very easy for me to understand the scenarios and emotions conveyed by each card. The readings have always been very accurate with this deck as well. The only reason that I have not given it 5 stars is that it lacks an in-depth accompaniment book (probably because the imagery does not relate to other schools that would lend to a deeper understanding of the Tarot). Still, for the beginner, and even the expert, this deck is a delight :)
